Be Part of History: Volunteer for Blackstone 250

America is turning 250, and Blackstone is coming together to celebrate in a big way! This is a once-in-a-lifetime milestone, and we want you to help us bring it to life. Whether you love organizing, brainstorming new ideas, or just want to lend a hand on the day of the event, there is a place for you here.

How You Can Help

We are currently in the planning stages and looking for residents to help shape the celebration. Opportunities range from monthly committee work to “day-of” event support during our festival in July 2026.

Planning & Committees

Help us build the foundation. We need creative thinkers and organizers for:

Event Coordination: Brainstorming and managing festival logistics.
Communications: Helping us spread the word across town.
Creative Input: Developing ideas for the art contest, parade, and local displays.

Event-Day Support

Not a “meeting person”? No problem! We will need a large team for the festival at Blackstone-Millville Regional High School to help with:

Festival Logistics: Assisting with the carnival, food trucks, and 5K race.
Hospitality: Greeting guests and staffing information booths.
Youth & Family Activities: Helping run games and student-led exhibitions.

Kids & Teens Wanted!

All ages are welcome! We are looking for youth volunteers to bring fresh ideas and energy to the celebration.

Community Service Hours: This is a great way for students to earn required hours while making a real impact.
Learn & Contribute: Gain experience in event planning, history, and community leadership.
Families: We encourage families to volunteer together for a fun, shared experience.

We hold regular planning sessions to stay organized and keep the momentum going. You can participate in person or from the comfort of your home.
